There is basically only one way to get rich (barring the odd statistical outlier).
Are you ready?
It’s not any of that stuff on late night TV. Can you guess what it is?
You have to be born rich.
That’s a fact.
Here’s why: Rich people send their kids to private schools where they meet other rich kids and make important connections. Rich people pass down their money, investments, and businesses to their children. Rich people send their kids to etiquette classes and country clubs, so that they can learn the proper ways to behave in the inner circle. And they also teach them to shun anyone who doesn’t know the proper way to behave in the inner circle.
I am tired of Americans insisting that “If you work hard you can do anything that you want.”
No. You can’t. Lots of folks work really hard laying bricks, waiting tables, and digging ditches. And those folks are always going to be poor. They don’t have connections, they don’t know how to behave in the inner circle, and they aren’t going to inherit billions in investments and businesses.
Hard work doesn’t make you rich. At best, it can get you to lower middle class or out of the US altogether. But our country has one of the lowest scores on Earth for social mobility, and if you think hard work is going to get you rich, you need to wake up.
Please America, wake up.
